Teaching Staff Mobility (TSM)

Teaching Staff Mobility is a great opportunity to learn more about a foreign university. There are three goals: - First of all, teaching at the guest-university eight hours a week.
- Secondly, establishing and keeping up contact with the academic staff.
- Thirdly, presenting the RheinAhrCampus Remagen to possible incomings.

In my case, I visited the University of Jaume I in Castellon, Spain. I went to UJI in May 2002 for one week. All faculty of the Economy/Marketing Department were very friendly and helpful with any question that cropped up. The language we used was English, also during the lectures. Unfortunately, Spanish students are a bit shy of speaking English, so it was difficult to get in touch with them more closely. In contrast, the meetings with the academic staff were very interesting; the comparison of both universities was our main topic. To sum it up, TSM is a very good programme in which you can learn a lot about academic and cultural life abroad.
