week 36 1/9/98			Group met for first time Briefing on the project - group consists of 8 people - 5 women and 3 men. The group got to know one another. Group worked with Laurence on writing a CV and put first pictures on the net.
week 39 29/9/98	Studying how to formulate a job advertisment from a job profile	First meeting with the students
week 41 5/10/98		Fulda students learn about writing a CV tailored to the job and specific requirements of the English CV Students will be informed about the Achill excursion Homework: Students choose an imaginary job and prepare a strategy for a CV
week 42 12/10/98	Devising advertisements for 5 posts  Sponsorship manager Travel and accommodation manager Contact manager Concept manager Personal relations manager Deadline for Job-Advertisments: 16.10.98	No direct contact with students Class with Horst Gebele	Group met to put information on the net - individual pictures etc.
week 43 19/10/98	Developing criteria for acceptance of rejection of candidates.	Students will learn about the 5 different positions needed on the Achill excursion   Sponsorship manager Travel and accommodation manager Contact manager Concept manager Personal relations manager Students analyse the five different jobs and discuss the skills that they involve.  They draw CVs which include only those skills which are required for the specific job they apply for.  Fulda students may try to get informal contact with the Brighton juries to improve their chances
23/10/98	13:30 hours: Chat session with applicants - first chance to get to know the applicants	14:30 hours: Chat session with future employers: chance to get information about the jobs directly from the employer	Group meets to talk about advertisements and strategies for CV writing. 14:30 hours: Chat session	-> chat-place
week 44 26/10/98	Non project work	Fulda students complete their CVs and send them to the employers   Deadline is 30/10/98	Group meet to discuss their own CVs - peer criticism. CVs and Applications sent in to Brighton.
week 45 02/11/98	Shortlisting the applicants	No direct contact with students Class with Horst Gebele
week 46 09/11/98			Presentation techniques - practice. Use video camera to record and analyse.
week 47 16/11/98	Sending letters of acceptance and rejection. Deadline for letters of acceptance/ refusal is 20/11/98	Practise of interview techniques   verbal and nonverbal communication - importance of gestures and dress how to avoid/hide nervousness question techniques - how to influence the direction of the interview which questions are likely to be asked? which questions should the applicant ask?	Practice interviews - techniques. Try-out with desk-top video. More practice for those who feel they need it.	Fulda students impatiently check their email boxes for news every day hoping to get a chance for an interview

week 49 30/11/98	EVALUATION	Students receive comprehensive evaluation of their CVs and interviews. All students write Thank-you letters directly to the persons who gave them the evaluation.    EVALUATION	15.00-16.00  Interviews - rest watch in other room. We will try to video-record interviews.
